Introduction
Hydrochloric acid synthesis systems are widely used in chemical, pharmaceutical, metallurgical, and electronics industries. They are primarily used to produce hydrochloric acid and other chlorine-containing chemicals, such as chlorides and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The system can also be used for waste gas treatment and resource recovery.
Chlory has 20 years of experience specializing in hydrochloric acid production lines. We use a chlor-alkali process (ion-exchange membrane electrolysis of brine) to produce chlorine, hydrogen, and caustic soda, which are then combined in a hydrochloric acid synthesis furnace to produce 32% hydrochloric acid (HCl). If customers can provide chlorine and hydrogen, our hydrochloric acid synthesis furnace can also be used to produce 32% hydrochloric acid (HCl). Please see the detailed introduction below.
Working Principle
1. Brine Preparation Unit
Industrial refined salt enters the salt saturator and mixes with water to form saturated brine.
2. Multi-stage Filtration and Purification System
The brine goes through multi-stage filtration and purification to remove impurities in the water.
3. Core Reaction in Ion-exchange Membrane Electrolyzer
After purification and filtration, the brine enters the ion-exchange membrane electrolyzer and then flows into the anode chamber. There is an ion-exchange membrane in the anode chamber that allows sodium ions to enter the cathode chamber while blocking chloride ions. Chloride ions are electrolyzed in the anode chamber to generate chlorine gas. Sodium ions and water are electrolyzed in the cathode chamber to generate sodium hydroxide and hydrogen. At the same time, the chloride ions in the anode chamber also react with the residual sodium ions to generate sodium chloride, which can be recycled after dechlorination and denitration.
4. NaOH Solution Entering Open Pan or Evaporator
We provide customized services according to the caustic soda concentration required by customers. The evaporator made of N02201 pure nickel heat exchange tube + nickel-steel composite plate cylinder delivers higher production capacity. If users need caustic soda flakes, a flaker is required to produce the flake product.
5. Pickling System for Electrolyzer Pickling
The electrolyzer is pickled with hydrochloric acid at a concentration of 8% to remove calcium and magnesium ion precipitates generated during the reaction, prevent scaling, and extend the service life of the electrolyzer.
6. Ventilation System
A fan is used to dilute the hydrogen generated from the reaction before venting it out to ensure safety.
